Artist Message
Selina Alko makes art for children's books and magazines. Her jazzy, colorful images can be found in the popular New York books, MY SUBWAY RIDE and MY TAXI RIDE. She debuted as author and illustrator with I'M YOUR PEANUT BUTTER BIG BROTHER (Knopf), a poetic celebration of her biracial children. She is now writing and illustrating books full-time. EVERY-DAY DRESS-UP and B IS FOR BROOKLYN, her newest books, are coming out soon. |
