The "Retractor!" is a collapsible basketball hoop system that has the ability to fold up and roll away. This was originally designed for Spaulding after they asked us to "think different" about their products. We felt that most basketball hoop systems aren't very attractive, and should be more portable.

9 "Aruba Ad Campaign"
Description:
Lowe New York's new Aruba campaign features a range of my hand lettering. It was an exciting job for me as Creative Director, Raj Kamble, wanted the copy on each ad to really express the personality of the subject. The challenge was to 'get inside their heads' so that each style was different and said something about their personalities. Photographed by Andy Anderson the posters feature real inhabitants of the island - they were selected through a nation wide casting call on Aruba. The ads spotlight a selection of seven Arubans, letting us experience a little of each of their lives on this beautiful island.

Ring in the New - The work captured eyeballs with simple, clean, clutter-cutting print, a playfully animated website, an online trailer and interactive banners. 15 "Roses Logo"
Description:
While redesigning the Cadbury's Roses packaging, the creative team at FutureBrand asked me to help them with a new logo for this popular chocolate assortment. Introduced in 1938, the distinctive blue packaging, in the style of a Dorothy handbag, was retained - while the designers combined my textured, spontaneous, brush lettering with clean, graphic illustration to freshen up the packaging and give it a more contemporary feel. The new logo can even be seen reproduced on each brightly coloured wrapper - which is a nice touch. It's always great to work on a popular brand, particularly when you have fond memories of it from your childhood!

16 "Chewie Is My Co-Pilot"
Description:
The "Chewie is my Co-Pilot" merchandise and artwork was developed for the "Stitch Wars," art exhibition at the Bear + Bird Gallery and comic shop in South Florida. The dimensional design is based on Chewbacca, the Wookie first mate of the Millenium Falcon, Han Solo's space cruiser first seen in "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope." The piece comprises an intricately embroidered and quilted felt Chewbacca in the traditional pose of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The artwork was then developed into an limited edition oversized vinyl decals sold at the Bear + Bird comic shop. The embroidered piece was created as a sketch, translated it to vector art in Adobe Illustrator and then carved the outline with an x-acto knife in colored felt. It was pieced together and secured it to a felt backdrop with adhesive and then hand stitch in embroidery silk to create a raised effect to the outline. Once the stitching was complete, a wooden framework was built to stretch the felt around the sides and secured it to the backing with upholstery nails. The result is a 3D rendering of the character. A Chewie's Prayer was also developed to complete the design and was sold with the stickers: CHEWIE'S PRAYER OUR CHEWBACCA, WHO ART IN HYPERSPACE HALLOWED BE THY WOOKIE. THY MILLENNIUM COMES, TO SAVE OUR BUNS, ON EARTH AT LIGHT-SPEED IN DA FALCON. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BLASTER. AND FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES, "I'LL BE CAREFUL!" AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US, "YOU'LL BE DEAD!" AND LEAD US NOT INTO THE DARK SIDE, BUT DELIVER US FROM THE EMPIRE. FOR THINE IS THE FORCE, THE ALLIANCE AND THE GLORY. IN A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY... GRRRWWWRR!!!
Artist: John Lacko

17 "RISD Viewbook"
Description:
With the refrain “RISD IS” this book is intended to give an overview of the school, including it’s approach to learning, facilities, faculty and community, to future students and their parents. The small scale allowed for more distribution of information while doubling the number of pages from a single press sheet (32 instead of 16), and the horizontal orientation allowed for a wide screen view of the school imagery.
Artist: Clifford Stoltze, Kyle Nelson, Cara Collins

18 "Love:Music"
Description:
These three illustrations were commissioned by Warner Entertainment for their newly launched LOVE MUSIC range. Warner fully recognise that an illustrated cover catches the eye of the buyer, and they wanted to bring that glossy 'HedKandi' feel to the classical market. In the Opera CD, they wanted a woman singing along to Opera in the bath, as though she was relaxing after a night at the Opera. The Ballet CD targeted girls, and has an illustration of two girls practising Ballet in their Bedroom. For the Classical we had an open air concert with a young couple having a picnic whilst enjoying the music. The artwork was all created in Adobe Illustrator CS4.
Artist: Jacquie O\'Neill
