Artist Message
BC KAGAN is an internationally published photographer best known for her portraits of emerging punk rock, new wave and alternative rock bands. The long list of eminent bands and musicians she has photographed includes, among others: U2, Aerosmith, Phish, The Police, The Cars, Duran Duran, The Buzzcocks, The Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joe Strummer, Billy Idol and Iggy Pop. In 1994 I produced and directed a music video (my first) with a 3 piece Boston band called GRIND. Film editor Chris White gave me this file, made from VHS, as a Christmas gift this year. The original was shot completely on B&W super8 film on location in Providence, RI. It appears here at the end of my still photo portfolio - take a look. The DIY titles at the end were attached for a festival the video was entered in. I left them on here to give credit to the eye candy actors:Ruben, Gurion,and Matt. Also to John Hartcorn who recorded and co-produced with me the song 'Superhero'. John was also the bass player in Boston's amazing, underexposed band 'The Neighborhoods'. |
