This exhibition features the paintings, illustrations and animation work of Everett Peck, native son of Oceanside. He is the creator of the Emmy nominated Duckman animated series which ran from 1994-97 and his illustrations have appeared in numerous periodicals, including Rolling Stone, Playboy, G.Q. and Entertainment Weekly, as well as in both print and animation advertising for corporate clients including Acura, Carl's Jr, M&M Mars, Nike, Harper Collins and PolygramRecords.
Peck's work humorously explores the pop culture of modern America and intersections with everyday life, with a special int erest in gender roles and social stereotypes. Oceanside Museum of Art welcomes guest curator Michael Gross.
OMA's exhibitions showcase the finest art of regional and international artists. From classic landscape paintings and studio furniture to neon sculpture, art quilts and architectural glass, the museum's galleries are redesigned for each exhibit, surprising visitors with a fresh, exciting visual transformation for every show.
