Artist Message
After exploring different creative outlets from visual art to performance art, San Francisco-based Eva Kolenko was drawn to photography as a means to interact and experience life on an intimate basis as well as communicate with the world in an intuitive way. Though she never made a conscious decision to become a photographer, her creative evolution eventually led her to the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco, where she graduated as valedictorian and earned a BA degree in Advertising Photography. She is an Art Directors Club Young Guns 2006 recipient and was also featured in Communication Arts' May/June 2006 "Fresh" section and most recently Kolenko was acknowledged in PDN's 13th annual Digital PIX awards. Kolenko's clients include Mars M&M's, American Leather, Fast Company Magazine, OnEarth Magazine, Metropolitan Home, among others. Eva currently lives in Oakland CA with her husband and their beloved Pit Bull, Bubby (aka: muffin). |
