Jason Willheim

He is based in Los Angeles, but his camera gear is
always packed and he is prepared to explore the
globe. His professional work has taken him to K...enya,
South Africa, Borneo, Russia, China, France, Italy and
recently Ukraine. For his personal projects, he delves
into subcultures, such as LA’s Outlaw Bikers and Drag
Racers. “I’m completely fascinated by people who
pursue something just because they love it…doing it
out of pure passion,” he states.

He has also taken all the portraits for Tara Wood’s
documentary film QT8: The First Eight Films,
a film about Director Quentin Tarantino, which is
streaming on Apple TV and Amazon Prime. His portraits
of Diane Kruger, Samuel L Jackson, Kurt Russell,
Jaimie Foxx and others in the film are riveting in
their stark simplicity. He also did the photography
for Wood’s third film in the documentary series on
directors, which features Tim Burton - and has
photographed Michael Keaton, Christopher Walken,
Winona Ryder, Christoph Waltz, Danny Elfman and
Danny DeVito. The film is scheduled to be released
