Artist Message
"Concentrate on your phonics instead of your artwork," my first-grade teacher Miss Kunk wrote on one of my homework assignments. Seems I'd forgotten to write in the missing vowels in my haste to color all the pictures. Years later, I'm still coloring and I still don't know phonics. Since graduating from first-grade I've worked for many top-notch companies, including Forbes, Hasbro, Pentagram, Reader's Digest, U.S. News & World Report and The Wall Street Journal. I've also been recognized by the Society of Illustrators and the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies. (I guess I'm an okay illustrator despite Miss Kunk.)
