Last year, Mark Smith had the honor of illustrating the book cover of Josephine Tey’s “A Shilling for Candles” for The Folio Society, which has just recently been released on their official website. This is the second time for Mark to illustrate one of Tey’s novels (the first one being “The Singing Sands”), and he says that it was just as enjoyable illustrating this one as the last one. The full series of illustrations made for the novel was accepted into NY Society of Illustrator’s annual awards show, and a smaller selection was exhibited in New York earlier this year.
