Following the terrible tragedy that was the shooting and killing of 49 people in Orlando earlier this month, many people have voiced their continual support for the victim’s families and discontent for current American gun laws. Among these are a group of illustrators of which Altpick-member Chris Lyons is a member, who hope to keep the innocent victims in our collective consciousness through the help of their artistic skills. Below is Chris’s portrait of 37-year-old Kimberly Morris, who lost her life in the recent shooting. Chris explains:
“Creating a portrait of someone involves a level of intimacy that makes this immediate and raw. And I'm pissed. This is for Kimberly Morris.”
