Artist Christopher M. Thomas, founder of STUDIO CMT Art + Inspiration was presented a commendation by the honorable Mayor Roosevelt Dorn of Inglewood California, on Friday, October 29, 2004. The commendation surprisingly came the day before the grand opening of STUDIO CMT. STUDIO CMT is the brain child of artist / designer Christopher M. Thomas and his wife, noted educator Carnita M. Thomas. Biblically inspired fine art, beautifully functional contemporary design, and soul stirring, hand carved sculpture from around the world, all blend harmoniously in the same space. This is the essence of STUDIO CMT.
"This is a great honor, for which we give God all the glory. My wife and I
love Inglewood and pray to bring a little salt and light to our community.
We wanted to create a place where art, design and spirituality could all
play together, and leave our clients inspired at the same time. God told us
to plant our seeds in Inglewood, we're just trying to be faithful to our
call." states the artist.
Mayor Roosevelt Dorn personally presented the commendation to Christopher.
It read as follows:
