Google has asked many illustrators to contribute art for free in return for exposure on their new search engine. To maintain commercial art's integrity and value, many illustrators feel it's important to stand strong and just say No!
"There's a lot of concern that newspapers and all of print is becoming a bit of an endangered species," said Altpick member, Brian Stauffer..."When a company like Google comes out very publicly and expects that the market would just give them free artwork, it sets a very dangerous precedent."
