Because Peter Duffy from Photon Concepts loves photographing cars so much, and where getting jobs from manufacturers can prove to be extremely difficult at best in an economy like this, Peter has found a way to bide his time until it all comes back.
Since March, Photon Concepts has been providing DCH Auto Group in Ventura County second to none Automotive Imaging for their Used Car Inventory. DCH Toyota of Oxnard installed a $35k Automotive Studio on the premises, complete with turntable, sometime at the end of last year. The original idea was the brainchild of Steve Chapman, General Manager, and Nick Dunlea, Car Inventory Supervisor. In March they were awarded them as a client and have been continuing to provide them with an awesome system of imaging, surpassing their expectations, and crushing the competition, selling and shipping cars as far as Hawaii just from images on their site.
There has also been an substantial jump in website traffic as car buyers are 8 to 10 times more likely to consult the Internet at least once in the car buying process.
"Basically they told us they were sick of seeing the same images of trees sticking out of cars and messy backgrounds. We agreed on a nominal fee per car and it has worked out great for both parties. We're happy to expand our craft of photography and continue to make a difference in the bottom line of a business' profits. Using this business model hopefully we will continue to build relationships with other dealers in the area and find solutions for high quality digital imaging for them as well", Peter comments.
