On July 30th and July 31st some of the cities most influential graffiti and street artists came together to celebrate StoreFronts: The Disappearing Face Of New York, by James & Karla Murray. Altpick member David Cooper was invited to this event as well, even though he don't consider himself a street artist or a graffiti artist. "I'm actually not sure if I have any such labels", Cooper comments. They endured blistering heat and torrential down pours to leave their marks on almost life size prints mounted on walls on top of Gawker Media Headquarters. These prints were taken directly from James & Karla Murray's important volume.
This video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tB-x0QlAIc) done by Gregg Deliso documenting the installation process of the Mom and POPism show. "The experience was great! James and Karla Murray have done an outstanding job in documenting some of New York Cities most beautiful scenery", says Cooper.
