Heartwork is an annual charity effort that raises money for art supplies at Target House- a home for the families of children requiring long-term treatment at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
Each year a group of artists are asked to create and donate artwork based on a theme. The original illustrations are then turned into a print to be sold to raise money. Scott Hull Associates artist, Meg Hunt, was given the challenge to come up with a visual to go along with this year's theme: hope.
Meg's depiction of hope begins with a bed of thorns, which turns into a leafy refuge. A little boy is exploring after finding a feather, not knowing that a giant owl rests above. Meg's beautiful print sold out, successfully raising money for Target House.
