Propst & Grauerholz

Somehow, Lawrence is able to attract the most interesting people and the retention rate is magnificent. Here’s a couple of guys Jason Dailey was able to photograph recently that easily made his top 10 list.)

Both, friends of William Burroughs, gave Jason their time and each a gift. James Grauerholz met Jason at the Burroughs compound and gave him the grand tour. Regaling Jason with stories, showing off the dead (offensive) car and pointing out shotgun scatter embedded in the wood of the garage along the way.

Wayne Propst asked Jason to meet him at a local coffee shop where they spent some time out back taking some photographs." When we were finished he pressed into my hands a bullet (?) pierced 1972 silver dollar that had some red nail polish on it, “here’s a dead kennedy”. I loved it at first sight", says Dailey.
