As the legalization of marijuana in Washington State celebrates its 1-year anniversary, the Inlander magazine asked illustrator Chris Whetzel to provide them with a cover image that depicts this event in a fun and clever way. Working with different ideas (that involved a person inhaling his birthday “candle” after blowing it out), they finally went with the idea of a marijuana cupcake.
