Artist Message
Why is it whenever we get to this field, to write about ourselves, we never quite know what to put here? Instead of exactly what I've done, let me tell you what I do, and what I like. I like Pina Coladas and walks in the rain. (kidding) I like putting the picture in my head on my computer screen by using the tools I have available. I like taking that image and transferring it to print for everyone to see. I like recognition. I think it's a human quality and its definitely the quality of an artist. Even though I've been a photographer for about 6 years, I didn't really THINK of myself as an artist until this year. I've started to recognize a STYLE that is developing within my set of skills. I've been waiting patiently for that to happen. I'm confident in the person I am and the image I'm trying to create, but smart enough to get myself out of the way to let someone's concept shine through in the image we're creating together as a team. (this is a run-on sentence but you get the idea!) I like putting on a business suit and sitting across from powerful people in their field. I like putting on my favorite jeans and hiking boots and going out to shoot a car or a product for the day. I love science and helping people. I am a licensed Mortician and I still practice the art of embalming and restorative sculpting from time to time. I've had countless local clients and I'm ready for a big project. I'm looking forward to the challenge of executing it and making it happen. |
