Artist Message
Ray Massey has an "unfailing enthusiasm stimulated by the diversity of (his) work." Always the competitive type, Ray enjoys a challenge, combined with a passion for problem solving, that has resulted in a steady flow of interesting commissions. he has created visual illusions and special effects for subjects as diverse as macro still life to location shoots with cars. For the most part, however, Ray is known for his skill set to liquids and drinks -- the "splash and pour" world if you will as well as the physical artistry of dance -- a personal favorite. In Ray's own words, "I still get a terrific buzz from bringing all the facets of a production together. I enjoy the support of an experienced and loyal team of assistants, model makers, artists, stylists, producers and retouchers." Not one to rest on his past accomplishments Ray frequently makes time to work on his own personal projects often resulting in some amazing images and an ever expanding pool of knowledge to draw from for future assignments. |
