Alessandra Olanow

Alessandra was born in Montreal, Canada, but spent much of her childhood moving around with her family. Sketching became a way for her to adjust to a ...constantly changing environment and she found that she could be comfortable almost anywhere as long as she could sit in a corner and draw. Using simple but deliberate lines, Alessandra’s drawings always sparked conversation and quickly turned her subjects into friends.

Today, Alessandra lives in Brooklyn and juggles a diverse array of projects while continually developing her craft. Despite her busy schedule, Alessandra remains a fixture in her neighborhood and can often be found quietly sketching down at the local bar, at the park, or on the subway. Her drawings reflect her surroundings and capture the transient nature of the city she loves. Show more
