Darren Hauck is a Milwaukee, Wis.-based freelance photographer specializing in documentary and hard news. Born and raised in the land of beer and chee...se, Hauck received a BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design before landing a job at a small town newspaper. That's lead him to a decade of freelance photography that has taken him all over the world. From refugee camps in southeast Asia to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, assignments in India and Central America, Hauck has captured unflinching images of humanity on the brink.
