Artist Message
Elizabeth Ferber is an illustrator, writer, and cartoonist. Her eclectic background, in comedy improv and jazz singing, is evident in the lively, humorous, and musical style of her drawings. She works primarily in ink, watercolor, and mixed media. For the past 15 years, Elizabeth Ferber has been a weekly contributing illustrator for The Georgia Straight, Vancouver's alternative newspaper. Additionally, she has been a greeting card designer for Recycled Paper Greetings for over 20 years. She has also written and illustrated 3 published children's books for Scholastic, Annick Press, and Boardwalk Books. Her cartoon strips, based on her keen observations of daily life, have appeared in the Tucson Weekly, Pittsburgh Weekly, and The Georgia Straight. |
