Heath Matyjewicz is an award-winning artist whose work focuses on Jewish survival, spirituality and human rights themes. Heath’s signature collection is “Heaven Weeps,” a series of paintings that explore the convergence of heaven and earth in Jewish history, suffering and renewal.

Heath's work has been published in Hadassah magazine, the Chicago Tribune, Safed-Tzfat, Zeek online and Tikkun magazine. His work also appears in Art Scene Chicago, published by Crow Woods and available at Barnes & Noble bookstores.

Heath Matyjewicz's paintings have been called “moving” by Pioneer Press. Artscope.net said his collection “preserves the living memory” and referred to his style as “a strong graphic approach to painting, coupled with a disciplined but expressionistic technique that allies him with artists such as Ben Shahn or earlier, Georges Rouault.”

Heath has been recognized with numerous honors for his artwork, both in New York and Chicago. He has won top honors at the American Jewish Artists Club’s Annual Exhibition three years in a row. Heath was awarded the prestigious Louise D. Yocham award at Northwest University and the Fred Rappaport award at The Chicago Cultural Center.
