Artist Message
With a distinctly nomadic aesthetic informed by moving over 14 times in his first 14 years of life, Maverick Inman's work is equal parts sleek and erratic. Currently, in his 17th year of residency in New York City, his photographs capture both the energy and grit of the culturally contrast community he calls home. Now an internationally published photographer, Maverick established his career in the 2000s shooting live local bands around the Lower East Side and Brooklyn, moving on to cover artists ranging from A$AP Rocky to Skrillex, Wu-Tang Clan to Good Charlotte and more. Additionally, he has shot campaigns for Vibe Magazine and Fabergé, had his images highlighted by Billboard, BlackBook, The Alternative Press, Mass Appeal, Vanity Fair, Harlem World Magazine, and has been featured in print by Elektro Daily, Red Carpet Magazine, and HYPEBEAST. With a driving interest in capturing the raw energy of the natural world around him, Maverick currently continues to cover live shows and events around NYC while also capturing dynamic portraits and high end studio editorials. |
