Illustrator Neale Osborne's latest work is a hark back to the stylish Jazz Age, an era which has inspired him before - most notably in his caricatures of Josephine Baker, and a number of silent movie stars.
The new-retro series also features the début of a naughty flapper character loosely based on Betty Boop; called 'Oöla-Lulu', she's being billed as 'the cartoon tease with the cute little dots!' (i.e. the quirky little diaeresis over the 'O').
Neale is already working on a whole book of images recounting the life story of his cartoon muse - 'Oöla-Lulu: l'amour pour vie' (that's 'A Love for Life' to you and me) - but for now there are a few teaser pictures of Oöla and her ever-faithful puss Monsieur Prrr…
