Dailey Photographs For Article On Police Brutality Hearing

Jul 19, 2016

It’s hard to tell if it’s become more common, or just more commonly known, but it is a fact that news about police brutality are showing up ever so frequently in the media these days. Jason Dailey, who has photographed for magazines such as Forbes and People in the past, recently got to work with The Intercept on an article about the court hearing of one Timothy Runnels. Two years ago, Runnels tased (then) 17 year old Bryce Masters in the chest for a total of 23 seconds when the boy wouldn’t step out of his car, resulting in a cardiac arrest that lasted for nearly 8 minutes. Today, Runnels stands trial and might face a sentence for up to 10 years in prison. The full story (which is only Part 1, as of now), along with Jason’s captivating photos, can be found in the link below.
