Lisa Predko Meets With An Inspiring Woman

Sep 15, 2016

Earlier this summer, Chicago-based photographer Lisa Predko had the pleasure of shooting some portraits with UIC’s Great Cities Institute Director, Teresa Córdova – a powerful, smart and likeable woman, according to Lisa. Apart from being the Institute’s Director, Teresa is also Professor of Urban Planning & Policy in the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs, as well as affiliate of the Departments of Sociology and Gender and Women’s Studies (phew!). This basically means is that she is the one in charge of trying to improve the quality of life in Chicago, it’s metropolitan areas and other cities around the world by finding solutions to urban problems. A big responsibility, to say the least!

Joyfully expressing her appreciation on her blog, Lisa said: “We all had a great time at the shoot; Teresa chatted with us about the awesome work Great Cities is doing, what it was like to live in the southwest, how much we all love Chicago, and she even turned us onto some great music to work to at the studio!!!”
