Gregory Nelson has been working as an illustrator and designer for over two decades, creating art for both magazines and greeting cards for clients such as Orange Coast Magazine, ABA Journal and P.S. Greetings. In addition to this, he has also been working as a college level instructor for almost just as long, teaching his students about illustration, drawing, painting, graphic design and art survey.
Greg’s latest illustration, which was posted recently on his blog and is titled “Fear the Deep”, comes in two different versions; The first one is done in ink-pen and watercolor, while the second one puts less focus on color, and more so on the ink. Greg explains that it “relies on the pen and ink to draw attention using the watercolor as a light contrast wash behind the image.”
