Illustrator and Altpick-member Dingding is one of the contributors to the awesome, New York-based, all-female-artists exhibit, “A League Of Their Own”, which officially opened to the public on October 22. The theme of the exhibit is a celebration of the artists varying perspectives on athletic pursuits - a response to a wide general view that women and the world of sports don’t go hand-in-hand. To better explain, part of the show’s “manifesto” reads:
“Similar to the movie of the same name A League of their Own calls a group of women to unite as a team. We join together to celebrate our unique experiences, interests, and perspectives on the wide world of sports.”
Dingding and her fellow artists’ exhibited at the S.A.D. Gallery in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and then the exhibit moves on to the Masthead Gallery in Philadelphia.
