The work of highly talented illustrator and Altpick member, Umberto Grati, was recently on display at the Galleria Puccini in Ancona, Italy. The exhibit, which ended on December 4, turned out to be a great success. Sharing both paintings and “rough” drawings from his various sketchbooks, Umberto no doubt made a strong impression on his visitors; one guest described Umberto’s pieces as “extraordinary visions which immortalize painting on canvas” and went on to call them the “substance of dreams”.
If that’s not a positive review, we don’t know what is!
