Recently, illustrator Giovannina Colalillo was asked by OFL Women’s Committee to produce a poster and a pin for their March 8th Project; a celebration of the 2017 International Women’s Day.
This year (which is the 7th year in a row for the annual project), the official theme was “Celebrating Solidarity and Sisterhood”, something which Giovannina clearly managed to portray with her wonderful illustration.
When publicly displaying the new poster and pin, the OFL Women’s Committee expressed their gratitude, saying that “Both the pewter pin and poster are a work of art that our members and community partners will value for many years to come.” Any surplus from sales will be donated to a number of women’s organizations recommended by the committee.
