Newell Photographs a Young Rarity of the Animal Kingdom-

Jul 21, 2017

In a rare and heartwarming moment of man and nature coming together, Lennette Newell briefly captures the attention of one of natures rarest members. Caused by a lack of the pigment pheomelanin (found in orange colored tigers), the pale fur of the white Bengal tiger is a unique trait that makes the animal stand out from its more common relatives. Unfortunately, this also makes it more sought after by poachers and the illegal tiger trade.
