Paul Garland's New Illo for Johns Hopkins Magazine, Fall 2017 Issue.

Sep 29, 2017

The story is about safe consumption spaces for illegal drugs, which a professor in the Bloomberg School of Public Health is suggesting as a way to combat drug overdoses. This idea is modeled on Insite, located in Vancouver, which is North America’s first supervised drug injection centre; where people can safely inject, smoke, or inhale illegal drugs such as heroin, cocaine, and morphine. They are supervised by trained medical staff without fear of prosecution.
