Miller Shows Classic Garment In A New Light

Unless you’re a woman who time-travelled from the 19th century or before, there’s a great chance you don’t have the experience of ever wearing a corset - yet, for the people that wear them today, experience might be quite crucial. This peculiar (and sometimes oxygen depriving) garment - which in some cases encourage people to remove a rib or two - is the main focus for a recent project by photographer Kent Miller.

All photographs in this magnificent series were specifically shot with a Linhof 5 x 7 large format camera, with the use of film that expired in 1958(!). Kent’s brief, yet educational introductory to the project, can be found below.
