Kristofer Dan-Bergman Featured in Gente Di Fotografia

Mar 14, 2018

Swedish photographer, Kristofer Dan-Bergman, was recently featured in the 68th issue of Gente Di Fotografia, and Italian Art Photography Magazine. The 6-page feature includes reviews of Kristofer’s series “Away” and BOaRD”, written by Giusy Randazzo, who provides several analytical and insightful comments on his work:

“….The magic of Dan-Bergman’s photos in Away is instead in this strange wait, in this disturbing knowing that the image is frozen, yet waiting for the characters to turn around.”

“The background is the same for everyone: an anonymous wall that reveals nothing for him or her. The subject is thrown into isolation that pushes us to stretch out our arm and rest our hand on their shoulder…”

“There are emotions, feelings, memories, but they are not ours. As if it were the veil of Maya.”

The issue also uses one of Kristofer’s pictures from the “Away” series as its back cover. A full translation of the reviews can be found in the links below.

If you’re interested in seeing Kristofer’s work up close and happen to find yourself in Sweden, his series “S_PACE”, “LESwalk” and “allONE” is soon to be exhibited at Galleri Fågel in Beddinge and in Stockholm (same gallery).

More images from Kristofer’s ongoing “LESwalk” series, which is taken near Kristofer’s home in Lower East Side, Manhattan, along with other samples of new work, can be found on his official Instagram account.
