This April, Chris Sickels spent a full week with the people at CasaTinta in Bogotá as part of the Congreso International de Illustration (which was taking place under the umbrella of the International Book Fair of Bogotá, or “FILBO”).
During his visit, Chris met with students at Santo Thomás University, hosting a three-part workshop on Red Nose Studios’ puppet fabrication process. “The participants were quick learners who didn't hesitate to try unconventional materials and techniques”, said Chris, who was more than satisfied with the outcome of his visit. He also added: “I may have learned a little Salsa dancing but i probably won't be showing that off anytime soon.”
