Alberto Ruggieri’s latest illustration might hit close to home for some young people who are on the verge of entering “the real world”.
The piece was made for an article by Italian writer Alessandro D’Avenia (Corriere Della Sera di Oggi) on maturity exams and how they over time have turned increasingly more empty, with Covid-19 having now essentially “stripped them of meaning”.
As seen in Alberto’s fantastic illustration, the article suggests that initiation rites for adulthood are currently a thing of the past.
