This year marks a milestone in U.S. history. On January 20, Kamala Harris was sworn in as the nation’s first female, African American, and South Asian vice-president. The moment is an important one for a great many people, who may see it as a step (or three) in the right direction when it comes to more inclusiveness within the political climate.
