There's something special about sketching at history museums...especially at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum where Illustrator Andreas von Buddenbrock combined drawing and learning.
During Andreas' visit, a couple of pieces caught his eye; The "Torpedo" log (1857), the Imperial Chinese Nav. Officer's Dress Sword (1830), and the Carriage Clock (late 1800's). Last but not least, the French Destroyer "Le Fronde" (1902-1920) was damaged by a typhoon in the Hong Kong Harbor on September 18, 1906. The Fronde was later salvaged and then repaired.
