50 years ago, The Doors lead singer Jim Morrison was found dead from a heroin overdose in a bathtub in his Paris apartment. This year, Paul Garland is revealing his own tribute to the legend with a marvelous painting inspired by the iconic photograph of Morrison taken by Joel Brodsky in 1967. As with many of Paul’s latest pieces, so this one is created entirely by the use of dots. Painted in various colors with almost inhuman precision, it’s a treat viewing this portrait both from afar and up close. We couldn’t think of a better tribute to “The American Poet”!
