Andreas von Buddenbrock, a.k.a. “The Ink Trail”, was happy to finally be able to reveal his involvement in working with the football club F.C. Barcelona.
After two months of waiting for Lionel Messi’s (arguably the world’s most skillful soccer player) decision of either continuing with or leaving the club, the latter ensued and the “secret” was out. Initially meant as a celebration of a possible re-signing, the six portraits Andreas was commissioned to make (all moments from the player’s 20-year-long career in the club, voted up by the fans on social media) were finally revealed, though presented as a “Thank you!” to Messi’s legendary run.
On the club’s official Instagram, Andreas’ portraits can now be seen as part of a fun Super Mario-inspired animation (also seen below).
