Biological diversity is about more than plants, animals, fungi, micro-organisms, and their ecosystems – it is about people and our need for food security, medicines, fresh air and water, shelter – and a clean and healthy environment in which to live.
Despite ongoing efforts, biodiversity is deteriorating worldwide. The UN Biodiversity Conference will convene governments from around the world to agree on a new set of goals for the preservation of nature over the next decade through the Convention on Biological Diversity. This post-2020 global biodiversity framework sets out an ambitious plan to implement action and transform our society’s relationship with biodiversity. to the ultimate goal is to ensure that, by 2050, the shared vision of living in harmony with nature becomes reality.

The stamp sheet incorporates vertebrates, invertebrates, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds, fish, plants, and micro-organisms. It was designed and illustrated by Sergio Baradat (United Nations).

A quantity of 48,000 sheets was printed by Cartor Security Printing (France). The stamp sheets are consecutively numbered. Please visit: https://unstamps.org/shop/cop-15/
