The future of car photography is here, and Altpick member Simon Puschmann is right where it’s all happening! Being the very first photographer to test out Arne Weiß’s and Hans Peter Schroeder’s latest invention called “GYBOW”, Simon got a chance to easily project a sphere (or a “dome”) onto a real car, helping it to seamlessly blend into photos of various indoor and outdoor environments.
The possibilities of this process, as Simon explains, are immense. For example, prototype cars that are not meant to be seen by the public can now be photographed in a controlled environment before effortlessly being transferred into a picture of some completely different location. “I think it’s going to be a game-changer”, says Simon, who was kind enough to show us this behind-the-scenes look of the GYBOW in action.
