“When a Health Care system is based on commerce it is ripe for crookedness, bias, and inequality”, says illustrator Rudy Gutierrez when sharing one of his most recent illustrations.
The statement is portrayed expertly with both symbolism and a visual style that’s unique to Rudy. It was made for Scientific American’s special edition issue on Science for Social Justice (which includes five illustration sections made by Rudy, as well as the cover). He also made sure to thank Art Director Michael Mrak for thinking of him, as well as Designer Larry Gendron.
