On November 22 of last year, Italian-born illustrator and graphic designer Elena Xausa sadly passed away at the early age of 38 after battling a serious illness. This year, an exhibition organized by Illustri Festival (IG: @illustrifestival) is being held in her memory.
The show, titled “EX / Illustri per Elena Xausa” features a large selection of her work, both published and unpublished. To show Elena’s impact on the larger artist community, the exhibition will also feature 100 unpublished pieces made by as many illustrators and creatives honoring her legacy, both as an artist and a human being.
Below is the wonderful contribution made by Altpick member Davide Bonazzi, which is meant to show how Elena’s creative energy was never depleted, even up to her untimely death.
The show opened on April 15 at Gallerie d’Italia, Vicenza, and will be up until September 10.
