On May 27, people gathered from all around at the Alton Mill Arts Centre in Alton, Ontario, for the musically themed art show & sale fundraising event, “Tapestry of Art and Music”. Visitors were treated to local refreshments and inspirational music while walking around and browsing the artworks on display at the outdoor space.
One of the talented artists who donated to the fundraiser (all proceeds going to Headwater Arts) was our very own Giovannina Colalillo with her magnificent piece, “Listening to CBC Music After Dark”. She describes the 6” x “6 acrylic painting as such: “The gestural human form expresses the conflict of internal emotions by unifying strength and vulnerability, captured with the interaction of movement through music.”
