Smog Design recently re-shot the original mechanical of a-ha’s Hunting High and Low. First released in 1985, it was re-issued last year in celebration of the band’s 25th anniversary. Jeri explains how the cover design came about:
“…Jeff [Ayeroff] walked into my office part way through the designing process…I was working on a comp, a “rough” layout and I said “I could do something sort of like this.” I showed him this unfinished comp, “That’s it!” he said. “Don’t do anything else…” We loved the gray, torn vellum, the pencil smudges…the tape.
