Tom Nick Cocotos was commissioned to illustrate the cover of this week\'s US News & World Report (February 2nd issue, on newsstands January 27th). The image deals with the battle among the democratic presidential candidates. Tom, in his dynamic cut-paper collage style, has depicted the main candidates (Kerry, Dean, Edwards , and Clark, along with a bit of Lieberman and Sharpton) in a cartoon style fight. Out of the cloud of commotion pop their faces, fists, flying legs and throat-clutching hands.
Michael Morgenstern just created an illustration for the cover of this Sunday\'s Opinion Section of the LA Times. It\'s about how Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction are not being found, and about how more authorities are claiming the UN was right in assessing that they had been eliminated after the Gulf War in \'91. The piece will be published this Sunday, February 1st. The art director is Wes Bausmith.
