Insiders Look into the Surfing Industry

This unique program brought to you by the New York School of Visual Arts and co-sponsored by Surfline, offers students the opportunity to learn about the history of surfing and its evolution into contemporary mainstream consciousness as a billion dollar industry.

Located in the epicenter of surf culture and industry in San Clemente, California, the workshop will be lead by the renowned surf photographer, Art Brewer, and co-hosted by Surfline. Throughout the workshop, students will have the opportunity to meet and interact with some of surfing’s most prominent personalities while also visiting leading surf manufacturers, publications, media outlets, museums, shapers, designers and photography editors. There will also be several guest lecture presentations discussing everything from the importance of the classic Bruce Brown film, The Endless Summer, to the origins of Rainbow Sandals.

If you want to experience the surf lifestyle of Southern California and want to pursue a career in the surfing industry, this workshop will provide a rare insiders perspective into the highly coveted world of surfing.
