Apr 17, 2015

AnconaCrea week, in the Italian city of Ancona, is a week of exhibitions, performances, meetings, conferences, workshops, street art and urban installations. Artist Umberto Grati's installation in one of the most prominent fashion shops, Milton Uomo, has his life size paintings sitting side by side to the elegant displays of the Milton Uomo suits.

The city of Ancona treasures and nurtures their young artists many of whom have their art displayed in London, Paris, Milan, Florence, Bologna, Berlin, Rio, and elsewhere in the world.

The initial idea of AnconaCrea week was to highlight how art can transform a city through the energy, the color, the sound and the creative intervention. The daily contact with the unusual, such as shops with sculpture, urban space with performance, is a declaration that Ancona is a city that loves of art and nurtures the artists who were born and live there.

Umberto's painting is oil on canvas dimension 100x150 cm and homosapiens3 is 80x200 cm.

"My dream is to have an exhibition like this in your town....one day..", says Grati.
