A Personal Project by Brian Kuhlmann

Jun 12, 2015

“I love to shoot, and all of my images are my portfolio; the only difference is where I decide they end up in my presentation”, says photographer Brian Kuhlmann, who claims he doesn’t want to draw lines between personal work and “portfolio-work” done for clients.

Kuhlman, who has spent more than 30 years in the industry, talks about one of his personal projects (which is still in the works) in an interview with Suzanne Sease, which was published yesterday on ‘aPhoto Editor’. The project was inspired by the oil spill incident in the Gulf of Mexico, with its disastrous effects on surrounding wildlife, and is recreated visually with the help of professional dancers wrapped in fabric and various petroleum products.
